The main goal is to learn the feel of the feet
of the horse, enabling you to time your aids correctly.
I am fortunate to have
ridden with Tom
Dorrance and Ray Hunt. And I owe a lot to my first teacher, a
lady with a good paint horse, who took us kids out in the desert
of Eastern Washington and taught us to feel the feet.
Sessions start with groundwork, then mounted work. Lessons are
one hour, clinics are three hours.
Three day clinics are three hours each day. Each day progresses
with more advanced exercises.
Equipment you will need for ground work: rope halter and
minimum 12' lead.
